The catch is often small, not because of a shortage, but because San Dabs have traditionally been a restaurant-only seafood item. This is why we are excited to share this fresh catch with Home chefs in the Bay Area. Both newbies and experienced home chefs will enjoy preparing these treasures in their own kitchens.
Sand Dabs are easy to prepare. Our fishmongers prepare them so they are delivered to your door Pan Ready! Just sear whole and serve. The center bone slips out when cooked.
Sand Dabs have a sweet, delicate flavor that is truly unmatched by any other flat fish from Pacific coast waters. A rich and delicious, yet super approachable, fish option that kids and adults will both enjoy.

We source our Sand Dabs from small boat fisherman who make their livelihood here in Northern California waters. Wild caught between Monterey, CA up to Ft. Bragg waters.
Approximately 4-6pc per each order (2lb) depending on size. Which equates to enough for roughly 2-3 people.
Our Sand Dabs arrive fresh and whole, gutted with out tail and head (pan ready) to your door.
Use or freeze for future meals (in an airtight ziplock bag) within 1-2 days.
