  • A bright yellow/orange color distinguishes the Uni as the highest grade. Female roe have a more granular texture, while males produce more smooth-textured Uni. At its best Uni delivers a sweet, buttery taste with the slightest hint of the saltiness of the sea.
We recommend eating Uni raw. It's also a great addition to pasta sauces.
Uni should never be frozen as its unique texture is not preserved in the thawing process. Keep the tray very still in the coldest part of the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
